McCarthy Insurance Group has raised €2,130 for Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery, with the funds going directly towards the voluntary organisation’s work.
The group carries out land, river and sea searches free of charge in support of An Garda Síochána and the families of missing people. Its volunteers give their time across Cork city and beyond, often responding at the most difficult moments for the families involved.
The fundraiser was organised by Michaela O’Donovan, Trainee Commercial Executive at McCarthy Insurance Group, with support from across the team.
“I want to thank everyone who donated,” said Machaela. “The generosity means so much and will help the group continue their amazing work for families and communities in need. They give their time, expertise, and compassion without expecting anything in return, often during the most difficult moments. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ensure they can continue this vital work.”
Dave Shine of Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery thanked the company and its supporters for the donation: “We would like to thank McCarthy Insurance Group for organising this fundraiser on our behalf, and to sincerely thank everyone who donated and showed their support,” he said. “Every penny raised goes directly towards our cause, providing vital support to families and enabling us to continue the important work we do. Your generosity and kindness are truly appreciated.”
McCarthy Insurance Group extended its thanks to the clients who donated so generously, and to every volunteer who gives their time to the cause.
